FOREIGN it's been two years since the Hamas terror attack in Israel. I'm Dave Anthony, FOX News. And there are still hostages in Gaza, Lauren Berman's two brothers among them.

And while that sounds odd, it's because for 11 days Berman just told FOX they feared Ziv and Gali were among the nearly 1200 people Hamas murdered in the attack. Turns out his brothers were captured hiding in their home that day.

We know that they burned Ziv apartment and drove a lot of smoke inside. So he had two options, either to be burned and suffocated by the smoke inside his apartment or get out and they waited for him outside.

He's hopeful his brothers could be set free. As talks continue today in Egypt in direct negotiations between Israel and Hamas on the President Trump's cease fire plan aimed at stopping the war in Gaza triggered by the terror attack.

Under phase one of that peace plan, a ceasefire is supposed to take effect in in Gaza that clearly has not happened yet. A rocket, according to Israeli military forces, was fired from within Gaza into Israel. No casualties reported from that strike. Also part of phase one, the release of 48 hostages by Hamas, 20 of whom who are believed to be alive. In return, Israel expected to release 250 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences.

The executive order bars federal immigration agents from using any city owned property in their ongoing operations in the city.

Fox's Mandyn Rivera. Illinois's Democratic governors filed suit against the troop of deployment in that state. A federal judge has blocked the president from sending troops to Portland, Oregon. We mentioned the government shut down now on day seven. It's affected some air travel. There were nearly 6,000 flights delayed yesterday with some air traffic controllers not showing up. And at Hollywood's Burbank Airport in California, it got really bad.

No controllers at the airport yesterday evening because of staffing shortages causing delays of up to four hours. Air traffic controllers are working without pay during the shutdown and many are calling out sick. Controllers in San Diego took over local duties remotely.
