The scorching heat rewrites some of America's 250 celebration plans. I'm Tom Graham, FOX News. One city hardest hit, Philadelphia, where It's a dangerous 101 degrees.

Kind of surprising what we're seeing. You're seeing a lot of grass, a lot of lawn in front of Independence Hall. This I would have expected to be packed with people, but a lot of them are ducking for cover. Inside, there's long lines of people trying to find that air conditioning. So all these folks are waiting to go see the Liberty Bell and get a few minutes of ac. Though some people are still embracing the conditions. You can hear some live music right now. We had a band, so they started at three. They said. I heard them say on the mic they were told you might have to cancel. And they said, no, we're gonna go on as planned.

So here they are, FOX Brothers Katie Byrne in Philly. In New York City, the extreme heat causing equipment problems, prompting Con Edison to shut off power to about 10,000 people. In Queens, a series of tall ships making their way down the East River. In New York City, Fox's Lucas Tomlinson is aboard one of them.

It is great to be out on the water. I had the good fortune of coming alongside the USS Kearsarge, my classmate from Annapolis. I hailed her on VHF Channel six eight. We had a great shot. It's good to catch up. There's other warships. We have the USS Nitze, guided missile destroyer. USS Nimitz, the oldest aircraft carrier still in commission, is here. The vice president will be going out there to give remarks tomorrow. Tomorrow's about the warships. Today is about the tall ships.

In Michigan, shots fired inside a mall in Dearborn, sending those inside running for cover. Police Chief Issa Shaheen says officers quickly responded upon their arrival.
D
They discovered three gunshot victims here at Fairlane Mall. They immediately started rendering aid to those three gunshot victims. Two of them have passed away.
A
Police say the shooting happened during a fight between two groups of young people. Officers evacuated the mall and plan to keep it closed. America is listening to FOX news.

So I thought it would be fun if we made $15 bills, but it turns out that's very illegal. So there goes my big idea for the commercial. Give it a try@mintmobile.com Switch upfront payment

President Trump reportedly meeting with top advisers after wrapping up a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Fox's Peter Doocy is at the White House.
G
This Netanyahu call comes at a very interesting time. It's after a couple weeks of President Trump telling anybody who asks that he thinks Netanyahu has no common sense for the way that he has been handling the war, Israel's war with Hezbollah in Lebanon. But it sounds like this call was perfectly pleasant, according to the prime minister's office. During the conversation, the prime minister said that the United States is a guarantor of global freedom and that Israel greatly values the close relationship between the two nations. Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Trump agreed to meet soon in the United States.
