Flags here at the White House have been lowered to half staff. And President Trump posted on Truth Social saying to honor the life of Senator Lindsey Graham, he is ordering that all American flags across the country be lowered to half staff until Saturday. President Trump also says he spoke to Senator Lindsey Graham just last night. The senator's office shared the news early this morning of his death reciting a brief and sudden illness. The Wall Street Journal reporting that emergency responders were dispatched to Graham's home last night and performed CPR on an individual suffering from cardiac arrest.

A preliminary finding from medical examiners indicate Graham died from the odor rupture stemming from hardening of the arteries. Meanwhile, Congressmember Senator Lindsey Graham. Fox's Chad Burgum in Washington with more.

Several said it was Graham's wit which made him effective even during epic political and policy battles. Republican South Carolina Representative Russell Fry noted that it was the tenacity of Graham which saved the confirmation of of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. In the fall of 2018, Christine Blasey Ford accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault.

Iran is reportedly facing a new round of strikes. Fox's Mike Tobin has the latest from Tel Aviv.

The explosions are reported in the area of Kesham island and Bandar Abbas, all of that to the northwest side of the Strait of Hormuz. And this follows that new round of airstrikes confirmed by US Central Command. The US Says sea based and land based fighter jets as well as drones and munitions fired from ships were all used in the attack. The US Says the targets include missile and drone sites, naval capabilities and sites used for surveillance 140 targets were hit in this most recent round of strikes. And this recent round of strikes was triggered by Iran firing on another commercial ship crossing the Strait of Hormuz. Its ship was flagged out of Cyprus. There was a fire on board and damage to the engine room.

Iran responded to the US Strikes by launching attacks on neighboring countries in the Middle East. Iran says the Strait of Hormuz is closed, but the US Military says ships are still moving through it. Much of Florida is under a heat advisory a as dust from the Sahara Desert blankets parts of the South. Fox Weather's Brandi Campbell in Miami.

Much of it is actually over South Florida, but as we get into this, next week, it's going to continue creeping north. Some states, like Texas, maybe Louisiana, may start to see some of it impact their coastline as well. It can impact air quality, causing some health issues for some. And it can also limit storm development, leading to less afternoon showers. But in general, the dust could cause it to feel even hotter. We expecting temperatures to reach the mid-90s across South Florida, more specifically southeast Florida. But the feels like temperature could reach up to 108 degrees.
