US Deaths. I'm Paul Stevens, Fox News. Two American troops killed while defending against an Iranian missile attack in Jordan. Fox's Alex Hogan in Bridgewater, New Jersey, where the president is spending the weekend.

We have yet to hear from the president respond to this breaking news that two service members have been killed. This is the first time the service members have been killed since the fighting resumed two weeks ago. So Central Command says that this happened Friday as these US Service members in Jordan came under missile and drone attacks from Iran. One service member is missing and four others were evacuated to Jordanian hospitals. President Trump had said this just the day before.

I'm standing out in Bryant park in New York City, a place that for the last several days has been filled with smoke, especially in the afternoon hours. The kind of smoke when you step outside the buildings are a little hazy. It's made your eyes scratchy, difficult to breathe. Today, though, we've traded in a lot of that smoke for heavy downpours. There was a flash flood warning here in the city a little bit earlier that has now expired, but still often on showers. And that might be good news. That smoke just a couple of days ago, really heavy across the Midwest. So around Chicago, Milwaukee, stretching around Michigan, the winds in a cold front that's sweeping across the country have started to impact that. And you're noticing that smoke now pushing more along the mid Atlantic and through today, pushing more into New England. That means cities like Boston are ultimately going to see some of this smoke.

at least eight people have been killed, 34 missing after a landslide in southwestern China. The collapse in Chongjing's Penguin county buried more than 10 residential buildings after heavy rain triggered tons of rock and soil to come down and a mountain slide. A Canadian woman in ICE custody after allegedly slapping a teen who was allegedly wearing some pro Trump memorabilia.

The Department of Homeland Security has labeled Caitlin Tracy a maple leaf menace on social media. Media DHS has shared video appearing to show Tracy slapping a girl at the Jersey Shore during fourth of July weekend. After the slap, Tracey appears to just walk away without even stopping. Fox News Digital obtained court documents explaining that the victim was with a group of friends wearing sweatpants with the words Trump and ICE when Tracy confronted and later hit the teen's face and body. The court docs say that Tracy refused to identify herself after the encounter, but investigators later tracked her down through social media and passport information that she gave when entering the country back in 2024. According to court docs, she was arrested this week and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, harassment and obstruction.

And that is fox's CB Cotton with that update. The number of dead from the powerful twin earthquakes last month in Venezuela now topping 5,000. More than 16,000 injured. Crews are still clearing debris, especially in a hard hit coastal state where additional victims have been found. Authorities have also recorded more than 13 aftershocks those twin quakes damaging bridges and roads across the region. Hundreds of buildings, too, with nearly 200 collapsing. And we're also learning that severe weather has forced Spain and Argentina to cancel their final practice sessions ahead of the World cup championship match coming up on Sunday.
