The suspect is dead. I'm Roger Stern, Fox News. Police in Berlin shot and killed a man they say drove a van into a Pride festival yesterday, killing one person and injuring dozens of others. Here's Fox's Rebecca Castor.

He's been identified by police as 21 year old Abdul B. A German citizen born in the country but has family ties to Lebanon. He's known by police after committing other crimes in the past. Authorities didn't share what those were. Police believe Abdul was driving a white van that drove into a crowd near Berlin's massive Pride festival Saturday night. German officials say all the evidence points to this being an Islamist terrorist attack because the suspect is a known radicalized member in Islamic circles.

Officials say others may be involved and that the country's security level, threat level will be raised. The US Military says it's holding off on more strikes against Iran, at least for now. Is fox's Madeleine Rivera at the White House.

The US Says for now they do want to give diplomacy some room to breathe. And to that point, Iran and Oman held talks in Tehran over the past couple of days and the conversation revolved mainly around the state of Hormuz. A spokesperson for Iran's foreign ministry says there was tangible progress made but that negotiations will continue. The pause comes as the New York Times reports there are concerns that an escalation would further deplete the Pentagon's stockpile of interceptors and munitions. UN Ambassador Mike Waltz is dismissing the reports saying the US Remains locked and loaded and that more assets are moving into the region.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia and the Iran backed Houthis are treading attacks after the Houthis targeted Saudi ships moving through the Red Sea. President Trump has warned that he would hold Iran responsible and inflict major military punishment if the Houthis continue. America is listening to FOX News.

100 days until the midterm election and Maine's Democratic Party leadership picking a new candidate. One Senate President Troy Jackson will challenge longtime incumbent Republican Senator Susan Collins. This after Graham Platner went from Democratic rising star to out of the race. Platner had already won the Democratic primary. Now his replacement picked by party delegates, not voters. Some Mainers tell us the process reminds them of the Democrats 2024 switch from President Biden to Kamala Harris.

Incumbent Republican Senator Susan Collins wasted no time trading fire with her new opponent, saying Jackson is too radical for Maine. He went after her for giving tax cuts to the rich and not protecting health care. Maine is considered a must win state for Democrats if they are to regain control of the Senate. Tropical store of Genevieve is strengthened into a Category 4 hurricane in the Pacific Ocean southwest of Mexico, but remains at sea. It is not threatening land yet. And we can tell you now about gas prices. Fuel prices climbing again after a brief lull in fighting between the US And Iran. Oil oil analyst Toby Lundberg.

The gasoline price cutting lasted seven weeks, handing consumers back about 71 cents per gallon. But now prices are climbing again. In the past two weeks, they're up 22 cents to $4.10 for regular grade.

We don't know how the prices will react now that the US has paused attacks on Iran for two days. An official involved negotiations tells the Associated Press. Parties are talking about a compromise.
