Board says it has it was deceived by its former superintendent found to be in the country illegally.

Ian Roberts, detained by immigration agents last week accused of being in the country illegally from Guyana. Got through a background check when applying as Des Moines school superintendent two years ago. It did find he had not completed his doctoral degree, as he claimed, and was hired anyway. The school board accepted his resignation on Tuesday. Now adding in a statement, the Des Moines school board is also a victim of deception by Dr. Roberts, one on a growing list that includes our students and teachers, our parents and community, our elected officials and Iowa's Board of Educational Examiners and others. OpenAI, parent company of ChatGPT, is now valued at $500 billion after the private company's current and former employees sold about $6.6 billion worth of stock to investors. That means it's now worth more than Elon Musk's SpaceX. The information says OpenAI generated about $4.3 billion in revenue in the first half of this year, the more than all of last year. And OpenAI continues to expand. It just reached a deal for Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix to supply chips for its Stargate data centers. Janique Hosoda, FOX News.

The State Department says it'll increase staffing at certain U.S. embassies and consulates to accommodate an expected major jump in visa applications from a soccer fan looking to attend the World cup in the US Next year. The department will send hundreds of additional consular officers to designated countries to handle the demand. The number of staff and the countries have yet to be determined.
