The flight restrictions taken off. I'm Dave Anthony, FOX news. They were lifted an hour ago, days after the government reopened. So after the thousands of flights canceled the past several weeks, there are just 30 so far today.

Regular flight schedules are allowed at the 40 airports that had been ordered to cut back starting November 7th. Five weeks into the government shutdown, air traffic controllers weren't getting paid and more were missing work, citing stress from understaffing and and financial pressure. Some needed to take on other work to make ends meet. Flight cuts started at 4%, growing to 6, then pulled back to 3 this past Friday as staffing levels were getting back to normal post shutdown.

That's Fox's Chris Foster. There are more than 400 delays today, but not related to the issues during that shutdown. The US Military's blown up another boat suspected of smuggling illegal drugs off the South American coast, the 21st one on the operation that started in September targeting what the secretary of war calls narco terrorists. Another three were killed, 83 in total so far. And Fox's Jarrett Halpern reports more may be coming with an aircraft carrier strike group now in the region.

U.S. airstrikes have targeted alleged drug trafficking boats in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific, killing dozens of individuals. And President Trump has hinted at taking out possible cartel targets inside Venezuela. But the president also tells reporters there is a potential diplomatic outreach with Venezuela's leader, Nicolas Maduro. We may be having some discussions with Maduro and we'll see how that turns out.

Hasina, is living in exile in India, but in her absence, Bangladesh's ousted prime minister has been held responsible for a brutal crackdown on protesters last year. She's been convicted of crimes against humanity. The UN estimates up to 1400 died, including children, when security forces opened fire on people demonstrating against conditions in the country. As the death penalty was announced, there were cheers inside the courtroom, more celebrations outside the building where a small group of people had been calling for Sheikh Hasina to be hanged.
