There was an arrest in Los Angeles of a man authorities say was sending texts to Annie Guthrie and her husband asking for ransom. The FBI says there's no evidence connecting Derek Colella to the kidnapping. The FBI has partnered with the Pima county sheriff on the case.

The local sheriff's office is still technically the lead on the case, but the bureau is helping. FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi are getting regular updates. The the Bureau offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the safe return of Nancy Guthrie. That money is also available for the arrest of the person who took Nancy Guthrie from her home. The FBI is also surging resources.

Anti ICE demonstrators have targeted the home of the CEO Hilton to protest agents use of hotel properties during enforcement operations around the country.

Thursday morning, dozens of anti ICE protesters marched, chanted and banged on drums outside the home of Hilton CEO Christopher Nasser in Arlington, Virginia. The organizer Will McBride told ARL Now, a local media outlet, that ICE terrorizes people in the middle of the night, not allowing families to sleep well. So they wanted to give the same experience to the the CEO. Demonstrators have targeted ICE at different hotels around the country in Minnesota and New York during enforcement operations after one Hilton location, independently owned and operated, canceled some ICE agent bookings in Minneapolis. Hilton officials said that had been improper. They insisted they rent to everyone, and the Hilton label was then removed from this hotel shortly after the incident last month.
