Officials say this is an investigation which extends well beyond D.C. washington state where the suspect lived all the way across the globe to Afghanistan where the 29 year old is originally from. Prosecutors are still remaining tight lipped though about what may have motivated this suspect to allegedly drive cross country and carry out a deadly ambush. President Trump suggested last night the suspect had mental health issues. The New York Times says it spoke to a friend of the suspect who lives overseas and he too believes his friend had a mental health problem. Tributes continue to pour for the two victims of the attack, identified as 20 year old army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom who passed away overnight and US Air Force Staff Sergeant Andrew Wolfe who remains in critical condition.

Washington Treasury Secretary Scott Bessen says the agency will issue proposed regulations clarifying that portions of income tax benefits are no longer available to illegal and other non qualified aliens. The secretary says the programs covered include the Earned Income Tax Credit, the Additional Child Tax Credit, the American Opportunity Tax Credit and the Savers Match Credit. The administration had campaigned on cutting off government benefits for those in the country illegally, but officials are taking more aggressive immigration related actions after the shooting of two National Guard members allegedly by an Afghan national in Washington. Thanksgiving weekend is expected to break shopping records this year, starting off with a Black Friday. The National Retail federation says nearly 187 million people plan to shop between Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday, which is up from last year. And the retail group says this is the time of the year when shoppers actually pre to show up in person, just like the good old days.

President Trump saying today he'll be partying Former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez, who in 2024 was convicted for drug trafficking and weapons charges, sentenced to 45 years in prison.
