This is a FOX News alert. I'm Carmen Roberts. An active shooting at Brown University leaves at least two dead and others injured. Police in Providence, Rhode island, say the shooter is at large and they're telling students and staff to continue to shelter in place. A shooting happened near the Barris and Holly Building, which houses the School of Engineering and Physics. And the governor issued a statement saying they're monitoring the situation. President Trump has also been briefed. No word on the condition of those injured or how many there are. When President Trump says the US Will respond after a lone ISIS gunman ambushed and killed three Americans and wounded three others Americans in Syria today, we will retaliate. Two of those killed were US Soldiers, the other an American civilian. Interpreter the president spoke to reporters at the White House before leaving for the annual Army Navy game. This was an ISIS attack on US And Syria. And again, we mourned the loss. Fox's Lucas Tomlinson has more from the White House.

Those American soldiers, according to the Pentagon, were conducting a quote, key leader engagement. Their mission was in support of ongoing counter ISIS and counterterrorism operations in the region. While the ISIS caliphate was crushed in President Trump's first term. As evidence ISIS sleeper cells still exist.

US And Syrian forces returned fire and killed that gunman. Israel says it killed senior Hamas commander in Gaza today that it says is a key architect of the October 7th attack. The IDF A commander was killed following an explosion that wounded two IDF soldiers. Hamas condemned it as a violation of the ceasefire, but Israel said that's not true because the person killed was engaged in terrorist activities. And a bitter cold is sweeping parts of the country. Arctic blast blowing in from Canada, spreading into northern US States. America's listening. The FOX News.

Repeating our top story. At least two people have been killed and several others injured in the shooting at Brown University this afternoon in Providence, Rhode Island. Officials would not discuss publicly the details because that investigation is ongoing and the shooter is not in custody. We'll have more as that story continues. Washington state remains under a state of emergency from historic flooding. More rain is on the way.

The water has started to recede. I was in this exact same spot yesterday and the water would have been over my head. It was higher than me. But residents there returning to their homes, some of them, and clearing out the mess, trying to see what has been damaged or destroyed. They have a lot to go through. A powerful atmospheric river dumped at least a foot or more of rain in this area over the week, which swelled rivers, flooded neighborhoods, prompted multiple swift water rescues and forced thousands to evacuate. There's also the potential for mudslides. That risk remains a concern. Ten rivers were seen at major flood stage this week. The unpredictable and dangerous situation forced many families to quickly leave their homes at night in the city of Burlington on.

Thursday, Fox's Christina Coleman reporting. And another atmospheric river is expected to arrive on Monday. Rapper Nicki Minaj goes after the California.

Governor Musician Nicki Minaj slammed California Governor Gavin Newsom in a series of social media posts Friday. Declaring his political career over. Minaj on X wrote, quote, imagine being the guy running on wanting to see trans kids. Not even a trans adult would run on that. Normal adults wake up and think they want to see healthy, safe, happy kids. Ending it with send in the next guy on board. Newsom recently told the New York Times there's no governor who has signed more pro trans legislation than he has. Minaj has previously spoken out against Cancel Culture and has at times aligned with the Trump administration, including raising concerns about the killings of Christians in Nigeria.
