And Cassidy joined a few other Republicans and most Democrats backing a war powers resolution in the Senate voting to allow it to proceed toward a final vote attempting to limit the president's military actions in Iran. Now Vice President Vance says despite delaying resuming bombing Iran to let nuclear talks continue, we're locked and loaded. We don't want to go down that pathway, but the president is willing and able to go down that pathway if we have to. The U.S. government is dropping tax claims against President Trump, his sons and the Trump organ. A one page document posted to the Justice Department's website says the federal government is forever barred and precluded from investigating or pursuing tax claims currently pending.

Right now, 37% of Americans approve of the job the president's doing, up from 33% in April in this AP Newark center for Public Affairs Research poll. Immigration remains his strongest issue overall, improving to 45% this month. He's lost some Republican support on the economy. About six in ten approve. Two thirds of Republicans and about one third of Americans overall approve of the president's handling of Iran. He's at 36% approval on foreign policy in general. Chris Foster, FOX News.
