Dr. Peter Stafford, infected with Ebola virus while treating patients in the Democratic Republic of Congo, is reported to be very weak but not critically ill at a special isolation unit at Charite University Hospital in Berlin, Germany. The statement says Dr. Stafford shows clear symptoms but does not require intensive care or organ support and remains under close observation in a high security area. His wife, also a doctor, and their four children are quarantined in a separate part of the unit, not showing any symptoms. They they were in Congo with a Christian missionary group.
