Republicans did it on their own. I'm Dave Anthony, FOX News. And it took them all night in the Senate.
Senate Announcer
On this vote, The A's are 52, the nays are 47. This bill, as amended, is passed.
Dave Anthony
That was just before 5am approving nearly $70 billion to fund Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs enforcement through 2029, which Democrats oppose. But the process used to pass it did not allow a filibuster to block the funding. It goes to the House. Next.

There were bipartisan efforts to add amendments would restrict what the president has called a $1.8 billion anti weaponization fund for Trump's political allies who believe they've been politically persecuted. One such defeated amendment was proposed by Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy, who was recently defeated by a Trump backed primary challenger, which would have redirected the fund's payments to law enforcement officers hurt in the January 6th attack on the US Capitol.

Fox's Tanya J. Powers. The bill also does not include a billion dollars in security for the controversial White House ballroom. A legal challenge to stop construction returns to court today. Late last, President Trump posted on Truth Social the person suing has no standing and the case is highly damaging to our country. Calling the ballroom vital for national security, the president keeps trying to work out a deal to end the Iran conflict.
Senate Announcer
The main parts of the deal is that it can't have a nuclear weapon. The strait will open immediately.

Iran's been blocking most shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. It's also demanding Israel stop attacking Hezbollah and Lebanon. But those attacks continue. Today there's a new attempt to try to stop the war in Ukraine.
Jared Halpern
In an open letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky proposes a meeting between the two, a step President Trump is encouraging.
Senate Announcer
I think it would be great if they met. They should get it done.
Jared Halpern
Zelensky's letter comes as Russia intensifies airstrikes against Kyiv and Ukrainian drones have hit deeper into Russian territory.

Fox's Jared Halpern. The president's threatening to veto a House pass bill to provide new aid, weapons and loans to Ukraine. America's listening to Fox News.
