Charlie Kirk's accused assassin Tyler Robinson lost his latest bid to postpone his preliminary hearing. His lawyers wanted to hit pause while they appealed the judge's ruling allowing cameras in the courtroom to the Utah Supreme Court. The defense also asked the judge judge to sanction the prosecution for talking to reporters. Prosecutor Christopher Ballard said he had to set the record straight.

The effort to keep President Trump's name on the landmark Washington Performing Arts center hit a setback when U.S. district Judge Christopher Cooper denied a request to pause his earlier ruling. Late Thursday, the Justice Department filed a last minute appeal on behalf of the Kennedy Center's Trump appointed board of trustees, seeking to keep the president's name on the building. Judge Cooper ruled May 29 that Trump's name was illegally added to the John F. Kennedy center for the Performing Arts, finding only Congress could change its name and ordered all references to Trump must be removed by June 12.
