Thirteen House Democratic members and candidates signed on to a Promise to America initiative. They're pledging to stay true to centrist principles, including capitalism over socialism, fiscal discipline, strong borders and pride in the United States.

A police report cited in a court filing says foam sealant on the bottom of the reflecting pool was cut with a sharp knife or razor, causing destruction of delaminating surface material. The National Park Service's deputy director of operations, Frank Lands, made the statement in a court document and says the incident was reported to U.S. park Police on June 9. President Trump for several days has blamed vandals for American flag blue colored paint chipping and floating in the water.
