Lance Twigs, the former roommate, romantic partner of Tyler Robinson, described how he confessed to the killing of Charlie Kirk at least three times. First, in a handwritten note left the morning of the shooting at their apartment. Prosecutors say Robinson wrote, quote, I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I took it in text messages to Twigs. Robinson said he targeted Kirk because he, quote, had enough of his hatred. And on on the day after the shooting in their apartment, Twigg said Robinson was going to turn himself in.

Ahead of the vote, dozens of residents voiced opposition to the project, arguing the arch would block views from the cemetery and ruin the D.C. skyline. Final approval could come as soon as September, when the commission next meet. But members say they still want information on the arch's violation of the city's height law restricting how tall structures can be. Administration attorneys have argued the law does not apply to federal buildings. At the White House, Jared Halpern, FOX News.

And President Trump has pushed out the last three members of a bipartisan election commission firing two Democrats with a Republican resigning. The other Republican quit in April. That commission was established in 2003 to set up standards for state voting systems and provide funding for upgrades. America's listening to FOX News.

The Justice Department says Rahmanullah Lakhanwal is now in a hospital and will be treated to preserve his life and as he has refused to eat while in custody. Lack on Wall, as the Afghan national Police say, shot two National Guard soldiers not far from the White House last November while screaming Allahu Akbar. It's since been learned he drove to D.C. from Washington state with a stolen firearm. One of Those two soldiers, 20 year old specialist Sarah Beckstrom of West Virginia, was killed. Lacan Wall was himself shot by responding officers. Eben Brown, Fox News, New York City.

Man's accused of throwing molotov cocktails at two churches. Fox 5's Sharon Crowley the video capturing the moment.

The man walks up to the gate and throws an explosive device that causes a fire and a spark. But luckily the doors are made of metal and it did not burn down the church. Now police say the same man did it again about a mile away at a Jehovah's Witnesses building. That suspect has not been charged with these crimes yet. He was actually facing a different case and he was arrested outside of federal court on that case.

That's for a separate arson. Prosecutors say they suspect the man is involved in seven total World cup soccer today, Spain and Belgium and Englewood, California. The winner plays France in the semifinals. France beat Morocco 2 nil.

France tried to take the lead in the first half on a penalty kick, but Kylian Mbappe's shot was saved. But in the second, Mbappe had another opportunity due able to find Mbappe through traffic.
