Some something the president may discuss with Iraq's new prime minister today when he visits the White House for talks trying to deepen a financial partnership with the US there's another ICE shooting being protested and investigated, this one in Biddeford, Maine, where immigration agents were trying to detain someone here illegally.

Maine Senator Angus King said DHS Secretary Mark Wayne Mullen told him the officer opened fire after the driver tried to use his car as a weapon against agents. He also claims the shooting victim was not the target of the arrest warrant.

That led to a long standoff until the suspect was taken into custody, then hospitalized with injuries. South Carolina gets a new senator today. The head of emergencies at the World Health Organization says the true number of Ebola cases in the Democratic Republic of Congo is much higher than officially stated, at least twice the confirmed total of 1900 and possibly four times that number. More than 7, 100 people have died in the current outbreak. Yesterday, the Trump administration said it would block US Citizens traveling home from the DRC on commercial flights. Michigan's Department of Health and Human Services now reporting over 2,600 cases linked to an outbreak of cyclosporiasis, a foodborne illness that causes diarrhea. At least 44 people have been hospitalized in the state. No deaths have been reported. Investigators say the outbreak could be linked to lettuce or other salad greens, but they've not ruled out other foods and have yet to single out a specific grower or supplier. Cases have been reported in more than 30 states, but Michigan appears to be the epicenter, with 1,000 more cases reported in the state since its last update on Friday.
