This is a FOX News alert. Violence flares in Gaza. I'm Jack Callaghan, Fox News. Israel has launched airstrikes in Gaza in response to an attack by Hamas militants on Israeli troops stationed there. The Israeli military condemning the assault as a blatant violation of last week's cease fire agreement, escalating tensions and further destabilizing the region. Fox's Trey Yingst reports from Tel Aviv.

We understand that Hamas violated the agreement by firing across the yellow line. This is the line that divides the Gaza Strip where Israeli forces are currently in control and where Hamas is still in control. And according to this military official that I talked to, there were two separate attacks. One was an RPG attack and the other was a sniper attack targeting Israeli forces within Gaza. The Israelis still control about 53% of the Gaza Strip. As part of phase one of this agreement, if the ceasefire moves forward, they will pull back. But this yellow line will continue to be something that we talk about.

Israel has also condemned Hamas for delaying the return of the bodies of fallen hostages. The critics of President Trump took to the streets of major U.S. cities yesterday to protest the administration's policies. As Fox's Jackiez reports, hundreds of thousands.

Of people took to the streets across the country to protest the Trump administration and its policies. More than 2,500 no Kings rallies were planned in all 50 states. That's up from roughly 1800 during similar demonstrations in June. Protesters voiced outrage over a wide range of issues, including perceived threats to democracy, ICE raids, troop deployment to US Cities and cuts to federal programs. The events have been peaceful.

President Trump meeting with Ukraine's President Zelensky on Friday. He urged the president to continue U.S. military aid.

The big issue hanging over Zelenskyy's visit to the White House was whether Trump would give him Tomahawk cruise missiles, which have only been fired in combat from American warships and submarines. Military experts say sending these intermediate range missiles to Ukraine poses challenges. The flight path the missile takes uses a lot of sensitive and often near real time intelligence from American spy satellites. The United States would have to be involved in any Tomahawk strike deep into Russia. Potentially. There are lots of questions about how many Tomahawks there have. The inventory, some say, is a lot lower than it should be, and the cost of each missile is an issue. They come around up two million dollars a missile. After his two and a half hour meeting with Trump at the White House, Zelensky appeared to confirm he will not be receiving Tomahawks anytime soon.
