Easter Sunday masses have been happening all throughout the day here at St. Patrick's Cathedral behind me. You know this is a historic and iconic symbol of faith right here in the heart of Manhattan. Christians here and across the globe have been celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ today. And we know this is a message of hope, renewal and peace. And this year's holiday comes at a time when Catholic parishes across the country, including here in New York, are seeing a record number of new members. With wars raging abroad, including the ongoing conflict in Iran and the prolonged war in Ukraine, people here today are describing Easter as not just a religious celebration but also as a moment of reflection in a fractured world.

The 2nd U.S. circuit Court of Appeals revived the $656 million verdict against the Palestinian Liberation Organization and the Palestinian Authority. The groups were sued by relatives of victims killed in terror attacks in Jerusalem. They sued under the 1992 Anti Terrorism act, but the Palestinian authorities argue the case should not have been heard in US Courts. Years after the decision was tossed, the Supreme Court in 2025 allowed federal jurisdiction in such cases. The plaintiff's lawyers say their clients are relieved for the reinstatement of the judgment without a new trial. G.R. scott, Fox News.

Officers say the suspect, 38 year old Matthew Massey, was found in nearby woods early this morning. When they tried to arrest him, he allegedly opened fire and officers returned fire, killing him. The officer who was shot remains seriously injured. Now we're getting to the good part of the Artemis 2 mission. The crew is preparing to orbit around the dark side of the moon. Here's an update from mission control.

The crew and spacecraft are now over 219,900 miles away from our home planet of Earth, 57,850 miles away from the moon.

Artemis 2 will not be landing on the surface of the moon, but rather will travel several thousand miles beyond the moon before it makes a U turn and then comes straight back to Earth. That's a slingshot they're talking about. There are plans for at least one moon landing and potentially a second starting in 2028. NASA says those missions, which will be performed by Artemis 4, will explore the moon's south pole. I'm Darielle Albinger. This is FOX News.
