Iran's President Masoud Pizzashkian says their hands remain on the trigger. He maintains that Israel's attacks on Hezbollah militants in Lebanon are a violation of the ceasefire and if they continue, negotiations would be meaningless. Iran and the US Are due to meet for talks in Pakistan this weekend. The Strait of Hormuz remains at a near standstill despite ceasefire terms calling for its reopening. Ship traffic is at less than a tenth of normal levels. Iran says vessels will only be allowed to transit in coordination with its military.

Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreau revealing officers were serving an eviction notice at a home when a suspect opened fire with a high powered rifle. A responding sheriff's deputy was shot and killed.
