He maintains that Israel's attacks on Hezbollah militants in Lebanon are a violation of the ceasefire and if they continue, negotiations would be meaningless. Iran and the US Are due to meet for talks in Pakistan this weekend. The Strait of Hormuz remains at a near standstill despite ceasefire terms calling for its reopening. Ship traffic is at less than a tenth of normal levels. Iran says vessels will only be allowed to transit in coordination with its military.

A new documentary short chronicling actor Eric Dane's battle with ALS and quest for more research is set to be released later this year.
