It could last longer than three days. I'm Lisa Licera, Fox News. President Trump talking about the ceasefire announced this afternoon between Russia and Ukraine. We have a little period of time where they're not going to be killing people. That's very good. The three day pause begins May 9 and runs through May 11 to coincide with victory Day when Russia marks the defeat of Germany in World War II. Yesterday, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met with Ukraine's top negotiator in Miami. On Iran, the president said Hannity expects a response from them on a long term ceasefire soon as the US And Tehran exchange fire.

On Thursday, three US Navy destroyers faced nonstop incoming fire from Iranian drones and missiles as they sailed 500 miles through the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz. In response, the US Military struck a port on Iran's Kesham island and military targets in Bandar Abbas, crucial to Iran's oil export economy and Iran's Bandar Khargan naval checkpoint in Manab.

Former FBI Director James Comey will not appear in court in North Carolina next week.

Former FBI Director James Comey was set to appear before a federal judge in Greenville, North Carolina, Monday, but his attorneys asked to cancel it, noting he already appeared in Virginia. The grand jury that indicted him is in eastern North Carolina. He's accused of posting a picture of a seashell formation on social media that he says he found on the beach in North Carolina in the shape of the numbers 8647. The indictment says a reasonable recipient who is familiar with the circumstances would interpret that as a serious expression of an intent to do harm to the president. The judge gave Comey until this morning to file a waiver. He did so, and after federal prosecutors agreed, the Monday appearance was canceled. Jessica Rosenthal, FOX News.

The National Park Service says the body of a hiker has been found in Glacier national park in Montana, and they say the injuries are consistent with those sustained in a bear encounter. It's not clear if the body found is that of a Florida man who's been missing since the weekend. Glacier national park is home to grizzly bears and black bears. Last August, a bear swatted a 34 year old hiker causing injuries to her shoulder and arm. Job creation was much stronger than expected last month.

There were about twice as many jobs created in April as economists were predicting. The April employment report found 115,000 new positions. With the unemployment rate, as expected, remaining at 4.3%. Economists were predicting just 50 to 62,000 jobs. However, payroll processing company ADP's job growth came in stronger than forecast for April at 109,000. February and March job growth was revised lower to 60,000, 16,000 fewer jobs than previously reported.
