Passengers on at least two flights from the Democratic Republic of Congo landing here screened for the Ebola virus. All passengers from the region are being rerouted to three US Airports, Atlanta, Houston and International. In Virginia, Ebola numbers are exploding in central Africa. At least 900 reported cases and 220 deaths. But the real numbers could be much higher for this rare strain Bundabujo. There is no vaccine and up to 50% of infections are fatal. In war torn eastern Congo and Uganda, there is little to stop the spread. Shortages of protective suits, gloves, even basics like soap and water. Ebola is spread through contact with bodily fluids and dead bodies can continue to infect the living.
