Carmelo Anthony is accused of stabbing Austin Metcalf to death at a track and field championship event in Frisco, Texas, last year, both for 17 and in high school when it happened last April. While the prosecution rested over the weekend after presenting several witnesses, Anthony's defense rested after just one day. One defense witness who knew both Anthony and Metcalfe said on cross examination by the prosecution that he believed Anthony was in the wrong, that he provoked the confrontation. Witnesses said Metcalfe told Anthony to leave his school team's tent and Anthony said, you will have to move me while reaching into a backpack. Witnesses said Metcalfe pushed Anthony, who then stabbed him.

Uganda temporarily shut its border with the Democratic Republic of Congo last month in an attempt to limit the spread of Ebola. The DRC is where the current outbreak is most prevalent, with more than 500 recorded infections. Uganda has reported 19 confirmed cases. World Health Organization Director General Tedros Adhana Ghebreyesas is visiting Uganda. Speaking at an Ebola isolation unit, he told reporters while the initial decision to close the border was sound, blanket travel restrictions don't work.
