Calling experts to the stand. I'm Lisa Lacera, FOX News. The prosecution has rested in the preliminary hearing for Tyler Robinson, the man accused of gunning down Charlie Kirk last September.

Earlier this week, the defense called on a forensic evidence expert signaling their plan to go after the DNA evidence. Now they have called an ATF firearms expert, which is key because now the defense is signaling its intention to go after the ballistics evidence and argue that there's no way that the bullet recovered from Charlie Kirk's autopsy can be positively linked to the alleged murder weapon tied to Tyler Robinson. Keep in mind, that bullet had broken into many fragments and prosecutors say there's no way to exclude a positive match either.

This coming after US Central Command says the US Launched attacks on Iranian targets Tuesday and Wednesday.

A New Mexico mother sentenced to prison after a toddler accidentally shot and killed himself.

A tearful plea in court from Amelia Garcia saying punishment that could amount to the pain that I have endured of the loss of my son. Her lawyers wanted the judge to show mercy for Garcia and her surviving son, calling for a suspended sentence. But Judge David Murphy agreed with the state's recommendation, describing the case as horrific and tragic, delivering the maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. Investigators say last year, Garcia was staying at an apartment with friends. Everyone was sleeping when Garcia heard a gunshot.
