In Virginia, former two term Democratic Congresswoman Elaine Lurio won the Democratic nomination in the state's second Congressional District, setting up what will be closely watched rematch between her and incumbent Republican Jen Higgins. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says they've arrested a man Sunday who was walking the grounds carrying concealed weapon and a 16 round magazine at President Trump's California golf course. The president is set to arrive at a fundraising dinner at the club outside Los Angeles tonight. Law enforcement says a search of the suspect's home turned up more guns, magazines and ammunition, body armor and notebooks. What they're calling concerning comments, the suspect who authorities say is responsible for setting the old trails fire in Spokane in court today, Erin Farinacci facing a first degree arson charge. The court will adopt the $1 million bond that's already in place and adopt

The boat was trying to make the dange dangerous and illegal crossing from continental Europe to the United Kingdom. At first, some of the migrants refused help. They didn't want to be returned to France. But then the boat's engine caught fire, prompting an emergency response from both sides of the English Channel. In the end, all 157 on board were taken to French soil. There are no reports of deaths or injuries. job openings fell slightly in June. The Labor Department says employers posted 7.36 million vacancies in June, down from 7.54 million in May, the numbers were in line with economists expectations. Layoffs were little changed at 1.8 million. And the number of people quitting their jobs, a sign of confidence in their prospects, rose slightly. The nation's fourth largest bank is about to launch a high tech service.

Wells Fargo is embracing the technology used in cryptocurrenc will roll out tokenized deposits this fall for corporate and commercial clients. Blockchain technology is expected to make payments and transfers happen faster. The Wall Street Journal says initially Wells Fargo will only allow tokenized deposits for US Dollars and British pounds, though it plans to expand the service to more currencies next year and integrate it with a planned network of other US Banks. Big US Banks are working on a tokenized deposit network expected to launch next year.
