Prosecutors in New York City say they will ask the U.S. supreme Court to restore a murder conviction in the 1979 disappearance of 6 year old Eitan Patz. After the verdict was overturned in July, Pedro Hernandez was a convenience store clerk in Paet's neighborhood when he disappeared. He became a suspect. More than 30 years later, Pates vanished while walking to the school bus stop in 1979. His face was one of the first to be displayed on milk cartons. An educational technology company sued over their cancer cancellation policy is settling with the Federal Trade Commission.

Educational tech company Chegg has agreed to pay seven and a half million dollars to settle the FTC's claim that the company made it way too difficult to cancel a subscription. This company offers textbook rentals, homework and writing help, but if you wanted to cancel, you had to dig quite a bit on the website. The FTC cited as evidence a 2021 email from the company CEO who wrote there should be some pain involved in cancellation. The FTC has a new Click to Cancel rule, which is supposed to enforce the idea that canceling a subscription should be as easy as signing up for one. But a federal appeals court has blocked the rule, claiming the FTC didn't do enough of a preliminary analysis for a rule that could have an annual economic impact of more than $100 million. The first time in 70 years, Ford Motor Co. Relocating its world headquarters just down the road, about three miles away from its longtime home in Dearborn. The move within a couple of months to a newly constructed building, a 2.1 million square foot structure called Ford World Headquarters when it opens in November. General Motors also in the midst of a headquarters move, leaving its iconic home along the Detroit river for a new office building in downtown Detroit.
