President Trump declared not long after Ryan Ruth was found guilty for attempting to assassinate him on his Florida golf course. Justice was served as he sat with Uzbekistan's leader at the UN the president congratulated US Attorney General Pam Bondi and US Attorneys in Florida for for getting the conviction and said no one should be targeted politically or otherwise.

Iran's supreme leader rejecting direct negotiations with the US over his country's nuclear program. Ayatollah Khamenei's remarks aired on Iranian state television likely constrained any outreach from Iran's president, who's in New York for the UN General Assembly. Investigators found hundreds of servers and more than 100,000 SIM cards in New York City foiling a plot that could have caused a telecommunications blackout.
