The U.S. military Southern Command announcing it blew up a vessel in the eastern Pacific suspected of carrying drugs, killing two people and leaving one survivor who it called the Coast Guard to search for. Southcom also releasing a clip of video showing the attack it said was carried out on a boat transiting along known narco trafficking routes.

The controversial immigration enforcement operation in Minneapolis that included deadly shootings and confrontations with protesters will be under scrutiny at a House hearing next hour. That'll put the acting ICE director on the hot seat as Democrats demand or else they'll block new funding for homeland security needed by Friday night. But Republican Congressman Lance Gooden tells FOX a lot of ICE operations are already funded. So what they've done is put at risk the TSA funding. Just nine lawmakers voted against the massively bipartisan bill geared at tackling the affordability crisis when it comes to home ownership. But one just announced today she Senator Susan Collins, a Republican from Maine. And in an opinion piece in today's Bangor Daily News, Collins wrote, at a time when Washington seems broken and trust is low, Maine needs experienced, steady leadership. New York has become the 13th state to approve a law signed by Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul allowing someone terminally ill to end their life.

Under terms of the legislation, the person must be given a prognosis of six months or less to live by two physicians of undergo a mental health evaluation and be capable of self administering the medication. The law is only available to New York residents. Hochul says, quote, new Yorkers deserve the choice to endure less suffering not by shortening their lives, but by shortening their deaths.
