Check with your airline. C.J. pompa, Fox News that's if you have a flight today or for the foreseeable future. A large number of flights are canceled. Delays are stacking up this morning stems from the government shutdown which reaches day 38. Got to figure out a way to work this out just to get the country back in order. It's, you know, it's been going on far too long. All this fighting is just crazy. FOX John and Sarah reporting from the Hartsville Jackson International Airport in Atlanta. Things are busy here at the world's busiest airport, but they are moving along. The TSA checkpoints are reporting wait times anywhere from no wait to 15 minutes. So that's pretty good. But passengers are noticing the effects. Federal transportation officials are cutting back on flights incrementally, starting with a 4% reduction today, leading up to a 10% reduction next Friday across 40 high traffic airports, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and here in Atlanta. Now Republicans want to apply the pressure of Democrats and could a move lead to the government reopening?

Senate Republicans are aiming for a test vote on a new spending package that would include long term funding for the Department of Agriculture, the legislative branch and the military until next fall. It would also include a promise for a vote on Obamacare subsidies. The deal's fate hinges on Democrats, though. Many want the government to reopen. But progressives are refusing to budge without a firm health care deal. Warning moderates not to cave. Vice President J.D. vance saying in part the shutdown has now passed from farce into tragedy and the consequences of this national emergency fall on every senator and congressman who refuses to open the government.
