This is a FOX News alert. An almost five year long manhunt is over. I'm Dave Anthony. They found the man suspected of planting bombs in Washington the day before the infamous Capitol riot.

The arrest was in Virginia. Federal law enforcement sources tell FOX they've captured the man they believe placed pipe bombs near both the Republican and Democratic National Committee headquarters in Washington, D.C. on the night of January 5, 2021. The devices were found the next afternoon while people were strumming the Capitol. They did not detonate. No one was hurt. But the FBI says they could have been lethal. All the public is seen of a suspect is grainy video of someone wearing a hoodie, gloves and a face mask.

Fox's Lucas Tomlinson and Luigi Mangione will soon return to court in New York City a year to the day after the murder he's charged in the shooting of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson as a pretrial hearing continues. Earlier this week, Fox's CB Cotton reports Mangione's arrest in a Pennsylvania McDonald' McDonald's days later was in focus.

Body camera footage played in court showed the moment officers decided to detain Mangione and read him his Miranda rights about 20 minutes after he was first approached. More body camera footage played in court showed officers searching the backpack where prosecutors say a gun, a silencer and a notebook of writings was found.

Mangioni's lawyer is trying to get the evidence excluded at his trial, claiming it was obtained before he read his rights. America's listening to FOX News.
