Two separate corridors, one of icing and immediately displaced to the north of that big snow. We could see a top five snow in parts of Oklahoma that swath and all the way over into the mid Atlantic. And the switch up a more northerly trajectory to that area of low pressure which brings the i95 corridor, New York City up into southern New England in the mix both sides of the lower Mississippi. A second area in the Carolinas. This is where we could see destructive ice in excess of half an inch.

The FCC says late night and daytime talk shows will no longer automatically qualify as bona fide news programs, which are exempt from rules requiring rival candidates get equal airtime. Talk shows have long relied on a 2006 ruling that allowed a Tonight show interview with then California governor Schwarzenegger to be exempt. The FCC now says that ruling does not set a blanket precedent for all talk shows, including the View, Jimmy Kimmel Live and the Late show, and is urging broadcasters to file the proper equal opportunity paperwork to comply with the law.
