40 states in the path. I'm Lisa Lacera. FOX News forecasters say this storm that's spanning more than 2,000 miles could be historic. And a big concern for the south is freezing rain.
Ari Sarsolari (0:14)
North Mississippi, we're thinking over an inch of ice. So that's going to be widespread power outages that are probably going to last a long time. One of the bigger ice storms that we've seen in a while. We've also got some ice that's in the forecast from Atlanta up through Charlotte, raleigh, richmond, roanoke, etc. That's going to be enough to cause a lot of power outages as well. Probably not quite as bad as our friends farther off toward the southwest there.
