A snowstorm battering parts of the country. I'm Angelo Bavaro, Fox News. That nor' easter is sending snow into the Carolinas and the surrounding region. Fox Weather's Brandy Campbell is in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
B
Here in Myrtle beach, we are expecting five to eight inches of snow. That is significant for this town where the yearly snow average is just under half an inch. Meanwhile, parts of Tennessee and North Carolina have already seen 9 to 10 inches of snow. And in South Carolina, the Department of Transportation, they've said their crews are already working and that the road conditions are deteriorating across the state, especially on the western side. Now, I have spoken to the mayor of Myrtle Beach, Mark Krua, and he told me residents have already prepared.
A
People look forward to the snow. It's a fun sort of weather emergency compared to the hurricanes that we normally deal with.
B
We are going to be under a winter storm warning through Sunday evening.

And according to FlightAware, there are more than 12,000 total flight disruptions so far through Monday. President Trump is weighing military action against Iran. He's telling Tehran to drop its nuclear ambitions as protests against that regime continue. Fox's Lucas Tomlinson reports American forces are moving into that region.

The Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group is on station in the Arabian Sea and within striking distance of Iran. In addition to her squadrons of F18 Super Horns, the carrier also has F35 stealth fighter jets. That's the Charlie version that the Navy flies. There are also electronic warfare jets, the Growlers, that can jam and destroy Iranian radar and surface to air missile sites. President Trump speaking with our own Jackie Heinrich about Iran, saying, quote, they are negotiating so we'll see what happens. You know, the last time they negotiated, we had to take out their nuclear. Didn't work.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE have signaled they want no part in any strikes against Iran. America is listening to FOX News.

Why do we want high salts? Why do we want it now? What do we want? Ice. Yes, why do we want it now?

ICE House.

A federal judge is allowing the immigration operation by ICE to continue denying preliminary injunctions by Minnesota's attorney general and the mayors of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Meantime, the Justice Department has opened a civil rights probe into the deadly shooting of Alex Preddy. Anti ICE protests also continue in New York. That is where Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul is moving to end local cooperation with ICE in a new proposal. Foxes he be cotton.
D
Hochul's proposal is called Local Cops, Local Crimes act and it would nix deals that several New York counties currently have with ice. They give local officers the authority to help on immigration matters during their regular duties or even allow these areas to hold immigrants in county jails. Hochul said her proposal would strictly limit cooperation with ICE to criminal investigations. The Department of Homeland Security is telling Fox and Park, quote, when politicians bar local law enforcement from working with dhs. Our law enforcement officers have to have a more visible presence so that we can find and apprehend the criminals let out of jails and back into communities.
A
Currently, 14 law enforcement agencies across nine New York counties have agreements that allow them to cooperate with ice. A judge has ordered the US to release a five year old boy and his father from a Texas detention center where they were taken after being detained in a Minneapolis suburb last month. Pictures of that little boy, Liam Canejo Ramos, with a bunny hat and a spider man backpack being surrounded by ICE officers had sparked more debate about President Trump's immigration crackdown. I'm Angelo Bavaro and this is FOX News.

Anti-ICE Protests
Federal and State Policy Moves
The Department of Justice has initiated a civil rights probe following a deadly ICE-related shooting in Minneapolis.
Parallel anti-ICE protests are taking place in New York, as Governor Kathy Hochul proposes the “Local Cops, Local Crimes” act. This would cease existing agreements with ICE, limiting local police’s involvement in federal immigration enforcement to criminal investigations only.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) argues that such restrictions make their mission more difficult and necessitate a “more visible presence” in communities.

Moments from the field (e.g., protest chants) and high-level political discussions provide both immediacy and depth to the national issues at play.
