The loss of an Olympic dream. And now surgery. I'm Carmen Roberts. FOX News. American star skier Lindsey Vaughn is in stable condition in an Italian hospital after undergoing surgery today to stabilize her fractured left leg. She broke it when she crashed during a downhill run today in a bid for a second Olympic gold. Fox's Stephanie Bennett explains.

Thirteen seconds into her run, 41 year old Lindsey Vonn caught her right arm in that gate which then twisted her body, leaving her violently t down the course. When she came to a stop, she could be heard screaming in agony. She was then flown by helicopter off of the mountain. Fans on the ground watching in horror and disbelief, many in tears, including Vaughn's teammate Breezy Johnson, who then went on to win the gold medal during that race. This comes, of course, just nine days after Vaughn ruptured the ACL in her left knee in Cron, Montana.

And Vaughn's teammate Breezy Johnson won the gold in the women's downhill skiing event. That was the first US medal in the 2026 Winter Olympics. As a Monday ransom deadline looms closer, investigators in Arizona are still looking for Nancy Guthrie, but they're not saying much. Fox's Jonathan Hunt has more from Tucson.
Jonathan Hunt
As we move towards that Monday deadline. We've got radio silence here at the Pima County Sheriff's office and very little activity at Nancy Guthrie's house. However, investigators were on site there earlier. A couple of those investigators looking at some sort of storm drainage. They had removed the top of that and they were poking a long rod down into that drainage hole. Meantime, investigators were back at Annie Guthrie's house. That is Nancy Guthrie's other daughter, Savannah, Guthrie's sister.

And the Guthrie family says it would pay the ransom as much as $6 million. And Bitcoin's been requested. America's listening to FOX News.

The streets of Minneapolis were calmer today even as anti ice protests continue.
Steve Harrigan
The numbers of protesters have gone down, the temperatures have gone up, but they were definitely throwing objects at federal agents. They were throwing pieces of ice at federal agents. Also bottles and sometimes sex toys as well. One agent injured by a piece of ICE. One protester arrested for assault and 42 arrests overall. It turned violent suddenly. And what's really taking a beating here across Minneapolis is the economy, a lot of small businesses, restaurants that have to open and unlock and then lock their door every time someone goes in and out, having a tough time with staff. Many store owners say that these protests have hit them worse than Covid.

Fox's Steve Harrigan reporting. NASA's Crew 12 mission to the International Space Station will launch this week.
Jonathan Siri
It includes two American astronauts, one European Space Agency astronaut and one Russian cosmonaut. Earlier this weekend, they arrived at Kennedy Space center where they remain under a precautionary quarantine as they prepare for launch early Wednesday. When they arrive at the ISS, Crew 12 will be greeted by two Russians and NASA astronaut Chris Williams, who's been maintaining the US Equipment on the space station by himself since mid January. Crew 12 will launch atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. The FAA has given Falcon 9 clearance to launch and they are targeting a liftoff on Wednesday.

Fox's Jonathan Siri. Investigators in Mount Dora, Florida, turned to a trained otter to help them solve the case of Nicole Baldwin, who's been missing for two years. They're tapping the skills an Asian small clawed otter named Splash to see if the body might be underwater. Police Sergeant Gary Hutchison.

Otters put out bubbles and then they inhale the bubbles back in and that allows them to taste the water and alert to presence of decomposition.

And Nicole Baldwin, the mother of three, has been missing for two years. Her husband remains a person of interest but has not been charged. I'm Carmen Roberts. This is FOX News.
