A desperate plea. I'm Angelo Bavaro. FOX News. Savannah Guthrie asking for the public's help in a new video as the search continues for her 84 year old mother, Nancy.
Jonathan Hunt
This new message is not addressed to the kidnapper or kidnappers. It is addressed to the general public. In it, Savannah Guthrie thanks everybody for their prayers. She says we are in an hour of desperation. She said that we, the Guthrie siblings, believe our mother is still, still out there. She hears your prayers, Savannah says and she says we all need your help. She is out there somewhere. But it certainly sounds from the tone of that message that the investigation is at something of a dead end at this point because Savannah Guthrie's tone in this is absolutely desperate, saying that law enforcement are working as hard as they can, but they need the public's help.

Fox's Jonathan Hunt. Savannah not making any mention of that ransom deadline in the new video, which has now passed. The FBI says it's not aware of any communication between the family and suspected kidnappers. Lawmakers still negotiating funding for the Department of Homeland Security.
Hakeem Jeffries
There's not a whole lot of confidence here on the Hill that a deal is going to be reached by this Friday deadline when it comes to that DHS funding. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries says he he hasn't even had a single conversation with the White House yet. But Democrats have communicated their demands for ICE reforms to Republicans with Hakeem Jeffries and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer providing a list of 10 ICE reforms that they're demanding. But Senate Republicans top negotiator on DHS funding, Senator Katie Britt, is throwing cold water on those Democrat demands, writing in part, quote, democrats newest proposal is a ridiculous Christmas list of demands for the press.
