Putting pressure on Venezuela. I'm Lisa Licera of Fox News. President Trump ordering the airspace over Venezuela closed, has seen his national security team consider next steps against leader Nicolas Maduro.

The president met with his national security advisers after confirming this weekend he recently phoned Venezuelan strongman Nicolas Maduro. As the administration continues to ramp up pressure on Maduro to step down, the president posted over Thanksgiving, please consider the airspace above and surrounding Venezuela to be closed in its entirety. Asked if it signaled imminent land strikes, Trump responded, don't read anything into it. Caracas condemned the message as a colonial threat. A Washington Post report on a follow on strike on an alleged narco boat on September 2 to kill the survivors clinging to the wreckage of the boat.

Fox's Jennifer Griffin in Washington. White House Press secretary Caroline Levitt says the admiral who ordered the strikes acted lawfully. More than 80 people have been killed in strikes on small boats that Trump administration says smuggle drugs for cartels. After the shooting of two members of the National Guard last week, the Trump administration is vowing to restrict legal immigration from certain countries. The suspect in the shooting is an Afghan national. The White House says an MRI performed on President Trump was part of a preventative checkup.

An advanced imaging scan was part of routine preventative care for a man of President Trump's age, his physician says in a memo released by the White House. The MRI was performed in October, months after the president's annual physical. The physician says the cardiovascular and abdominal imaging is perfectly normal and everything evaluated was within normal limits with no acute or chronic concerns. Concluding President Trump is in excellent overall health.
