Governor Josh Shapiro said it was a tragic day in Bristol Township as lives were lost in the explosion at the Bristol Health and Rehab Center. Utility crews were at the center to find the source of a gas odor when the explosion happened. Governor Shapiro said first responders did what they to in order to save lives, climbing up ladders, handing individuals in this nursing home to police who were at times carrying two people on their back to safety. The nursing home has 174 beds for residents and had recently come under new ownership just weeks ago, according to the governor. The investigation to confirm a cause continues.
