Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Is ending emergency use authorization for Covid vaccines, he announced in a social media post. Kennedy says the emergency use authorization was used to justify broad mandates. Now, he writes, vaccines will be available for patients who want them after consulting with their doctors. The FDA has cleared updated Covid vaccines from Pfizer, Moderna and novavax for those at a higher risk, like the elderly and individuals with health conditions.

Officials say while fighting continues, Russian troops have not set up strongholds in this newly entered region. Ukrainian forces continue to battle back and are still successfully protecting major cities, but skirmishes in rural areas are continuing to spread out its forces. In the war with Russia. This comes as the US Leads an effort to broker a ceasefire. Ukraine has agreed to a three way summit. Russia has not agreed to direct talks and appears opposed to post war security concessions for Ukraine.

Police say 17 year old Caitlin Straight has died after being removed from life support. That shooting happened Sunday morning in Tangipahoa Parish in southeastern Louisiana. Police say 54 year old Barry west and another vehicle, an SUV, were tailgating and brake checking each other before west fired a shot into the suv. Straight, who was seven months pregnant in the passenger seat, was struck in the head. Her baby was saved by C section and police say continues to do well under medical care. West is now facing second degree murder in addition to other charges. Angelo Bavaro, FOX News.

An NFL suspension over a car crash last year. A source tells the Associated Press that Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is suspended for six games for violating the league's personal conduct policy after pleading guilty to felony charges for causing injuries while traveling on a highway at high speed hitting other vehicles.
