But inflation at the wholesale level also rising only slightly, up 110 of a point for the core rate. Records show a Texas state trooper began a vehicle pursuit of Marshawn Nealon not knowing it was him but believing the Dodge Challenger he was in was stolen. Records show the chase in Dallas got up to 145 miles per hour the night of November 5th after losing him. Troopers found the car in a Dallas suburb following a crash with another vehicle. The car was empty, but so was a holster inside. Police searched nearby storm drains using K9s and a drone, later finding the 24 year old in a portable bathroom dead from what appeared to be a self inflicted gunshot wound. They realized who he was in the early morning hours of the 6th and spoke to his girlfriend who said he was going to kill himself. He'd also sent text messages to other family and friends saying goodbye.

The epicenter of Maine's largest ever HIV outbreak is in Bangor, and health care providers say they're confident it will lead to new cases outside Penobscot county and affect the entire state. That's according to reporting from the Bangor Daily News. The outbreak stems from a cluster of HIV cases first identified in 2023 and is largely affecting those who are homeless or use drugs. Community organizations are ramping up HIV testing efforts, while Portland's health department has added a walk in testing day to its STD clinic. Local efforts to combat the HIV spread could be hampered by the elimination of funding. The House of propagations bill for 2026 proposed cutting $1.7 billion for HIV programs. Tanya J.
