Providence officers also wouldn't say whether they'd recovered a gun, only that they're still in the process of collecting evidence. However, FBI Director Kash Patel is sharing much more including photos that he posted on X saying they show the federal agents and geolocation tools that were used to tracked down the person of interest to a hotel in Coventry, Rhode island just before 4am Eastern this morning. The hotel only about 20 minutes from Brown's campus. Patel wrote that it all came together based on a lead from Providence, Rhode island police. But when Providence leaders were asked for more specifics, they repeatedly stayed tight lipped.
