In his address to the nation overnight, President Trump spoke about the U.S. military and the work of U.S. forces during Operation Epic Fury. The president's remarks come as indirect talks between the United States and Iran move forward. The ceasefire between the two countries does remain in place as regional leaders have expressed the importance of continuing the memorandum of Understanding despite the diplomatic progress. The funeral for Iran's late supreme leader, the Ayatollah Khamenei, has been a large display of Iranian propaganda as delegations from around the world traveled to Tehran. The funeral will continue until July 9th with millions of Iranians participating.

Several people attending the funeral called for President Trump's death as revenge for the killing of the supreme leader. Congress is on July 4th recess following a deadlock over legislative priorities. Tensions are running high as President Trump continues to demand that Congress pass the Save America act containing voter regulations. Missouri Republican Representative Jason Smith on Fox's Sunday briefing. He thinks Congress should be focused in preventing another government shutdown. We have only 20 legislative days between now and September 30th. We have to get the job done. The Senate Republican leader has told President Trump on several occasions that the Senate does not have enough GOP votes to pass the Save America Act. Past studies have shown that voter fraud is extremely rare and that mail in voting remains secure. FIFA has suspended a one game ban for the top scorer on the men's US Soccer team for Lauren Baloghin. He's eligible to play in Monday's matchup against Belgium. Officials say a masked man opened fire at a family barbecue near New York City's Coney island beach on the fourth of July. New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch describes the victims. In total, eight people were shot, four adults and four children, ages 6, 7, 7, 12 and 14. New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani condemns the incident.

One of the victims is in critical condition. The motive is unclear and the suspect remains at large. The husband of California Democratic Representative Nancy Pelosi is once again facing legal trouble. It follows a hit and run. Fox's Alicia Acuna reports from Los Angeles.

The crash happened in Yountville, California, which is not in former Speaker Nancy Pelosi's district. The Napa County Sheriff's Department says Friday afternoon a witness called 911 to say they saw a brown convertible crash into a legally parked car, briefly stop, then take off. The California Highway Patrol caught up with the convertible. Authorities say Paul Pelosi was driving. It was heavily damaged and parked on the side of a road blocking the roadway. In a statement, the sheriff said, quote, during the investigation, Pelosi admitted to hitting something but said he didn't know what he had hit, so he kept driving. He drove until his car became disabled and was no longer able to continue driving.

Pelosi's husband, Paul, previously pleaded guilty in connection with a drunk driving accident. No one was injured in Friday's crash and no charges have been announced. Chicago police are investigating holiday violence that left three dead and 20 wounded. Gunfire injured seven teens at a West Garfield park gathering Sunday. Two officers were also hurt during a traffic stop on Friday. I'm Debra Valentine. This is FOX news.
