Zoram Mamdani went on the attack in this press conference saying that it was his opponents that were making this political. Of course, it has not been clear where exactly he does stand given the fact that the 33 year old assembly member is new to the political stage and as well as the fact that we have only been able to go off of his prior statements which he has repeatedly said he wants to defund the police. He's called the NYPD racist and anti queer. Mamdani also said that he did meet with the family of Diderol Islam today, the NYPD officer who was murdered on Monday in that Midtown mass shooting. He said he spoke to them for about an hour and they have now invited him to attend the funeral tomorrow and that he will be attending.

Witnesses say it happened at Showcase magazine in Danville, Virginia, near the North Carolina border. Magazine publisher Andrew Brooks posted a Facebook video saying a suspect attacked staffer Lee Vogler, who also serves as Danville city councilman.

An individual forced his way into our office carrying a five gallon bucket of gasoline and poured the gasoline on Lee.

Bogler ran, but the suspect caught up to him and set him on fire. Brooks says he's being treated at a burn center. Police say they busted that suspect near the incident. He's been identified as Shotzi Michael Bug Hayes. The cops say the attack was the result of a personal matter till NATO.
