Israel moving the war in Gaza into a new phase. Angelo Bavaro, Fox News A spokesperson says Israel has entered the first stages of its planned attack on Gaza City and that forces already have a hold on the city's outskirts.

Israel's plans to basically go into Gaza City comes at a time when mediators from both Qatar and Egypt are working to bring the fighting to an end. Hamas has reportedly agreed to this latest ceasefire agreement, but Israel's defense minister already approving plans to call up more reservists as they begin the first steps towards an operation that digs deeper into the territory of Gaza. Now precisely 60,000 reservists are being called up and another 20,000 reservists are being told that their deployment could last a little longer. With plans approved for this new operation, the focus will be again on Gaza City, believed to be Hamas's main stronghold.

Fox's Jeff Paul and ISIS member projected to be the terrorist organization's next leader is dead after a US Military raid in Syria on Tuesday. A US Official says no US Troops were injured in that. NATO military leaders are discussing how to implement security guarantees for Ukraine as a new poll in that country finds a significant drop in support for the war with Russia.

As of this year, 69% of Ukrainians say that they would be willing to accept a deal if it was negotiated as soon as possible, compared to 24% who still want to continue to fight until a victory that's basically flipped from 2022. And 73% favored Ukraine fighting until victory and 22% prefer to negotiate it and as soon as possible. So on top of the death toll and destruction of this war, there are a couple other big reasons that Ukrainians tell me that these numbers are not surprising to them. One of them being the military. Recruitment remains low and active troops say there's not enough support to give them adequate leave.

North Carolina, the whole state under a state of emergency as Erin is set to pummel the Outer Banks. The storm isn't making a US Landfall, but tonight and tomorrow are when it gets closest to land. Even though the storm is hundreds of miles offshore, it is huge with its tropical storm force windshield stretching almost 500 miles right now. Forecasters expect expect that number to grow, too. At its peak. Now, those in mandatory evacuation zones, they should have left by now or they risk being cut off completely by water. Dare county officials tell us they estimate around 85,000 people have evacuated. That's going to be a mix of permanent residents and of course, those summer visitors.

Those effects expected to be felt all along the east coast, causing rip currents as far north as New York. Emotional testimony in front of a Texas state senate committee as parents of those killed and last month's flooding remembered their loved ones. Caitlin Bonner lost her daughter Lila, who was at Camp Mystic.
