People in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles say the removal of more than 85 million pounds of rotting food from the Lineage Logistics coal storage warehouse has left them dealing with flies, rodents and a stench that brought on more than 900 odor complaints last week. Al air quality violations are also piling up for Lineage, which says it has already handed out about 350 fly traps to people in the community, with hundreds more to come. The fire broke out on June 17th and the cause remains under investigation. LA Mayor Karen Bass is pressing the LA County Department of Public Health to move faster in addressing the issue, but the county says it's overseeing code enforcement and Lineage's efforts at pest management.
