Officials also say that right now there are no signs of a larger hantavirus outbreak.

Inflation rose last month. It was expected to increase, but the annual pace was even hotter than anticipated. The Consumer price index rose 0.6% from March to April, up4.10 for core CPI. Excluding food and energy, the CPI for the year ending in April rose 3.8%, up 2.8 for core CPI. On an annual basis. Both annual readings were higher than forecast. The Iran conflict pushed prices higher, especially for gasoline, jet fuel and diesel fuel.
