A scathing 162 page report accuses the Smithsonian Institution and the National Museum of American History in particular of extreme political activism. Titled Saving America's Story, the report is the first product of President Trump's March executive order calling for an audit of all cultural institutions that receive federal funding. In it, the Smithsonian leadership is charged with promoting ideas like open borders and transgender advocacy. Despite the American History Museum commemorating the country's 250th anniversary, the report claims that America's founding fathers are hardly featured and introduced chiefly through their connection to slavery. But of course, Mother Nature bringing in this flooding rain and it was just overwhelming. We had anywhere from a 3 to 19 foot water rise along the Black river in the early morning hours on Friday. Those campers all brought up into the dining hall and unfortunately they were stuck. The roads around that camp were washed away. The water too high for emergency vehicles and so Blackhawks and choppers had to go in there.
