Kilmar Brego Garcia has been released from jail in Tennessee today but has now been taken into immigration custody, at least until a judge decides if she can assign a holding facility. That decision will likely come after both sides submit their opinions. The Salvadorian national had been in jail since he was returned to the US on June 7 after being mistakenly deported to El Salvador. Abrego Garcia pleaded not guilty on June 13 to human smuggling charges that his attorneys have characterized as an attempt to justify his mistaken deportation. Supporters of New Jersey Democratic Congresswoman Lamonica McIver rallying outside of federal court in New Jersey this morning as she pleads not guilty on on federal charges over her actions with ICE agents last month outside a detention center in newark. A convicted McIver faces nearly ten years behind bars. She says the prosecution is about political intimidation and she won't back down.

House Republicans tried to raise the Salt cap to $40,000, while Senate Republicans wanted to keep it at the original 10,000.
