We got an inflation update this morning showing the biggest annual rate of increase since April 2023 driven up by the Iran conflict, 4.1% in what are called personal consumption expenditures. But oil prices are down a little again today. WTI 70 bucks a barrel. Brent crude is now before the Iran fighting. However, gas still almost a dollar a gallon higher, upsetting President Trump. We are not seeing anything at the

well,
Dave Anthony
in addition to the inflation update showing the biggest annual price rise in more than three years last month, another report shows economic growth was big, bigger than previously thought. In the first quarter, the GDP increase revised higher to 2.1%. And first time unemployment claims dropped last week. And on Wall street, the Dow is surging up 342 points. However, the NASDAQ is down 203, the S&P 500 losing 3 points. And one stock falling is Apple. It's down 5%.

Reacting to this, Apple is raising prices for Macs and iPads by 15 to 25%. CEO Tim Cook had warned that higher prices were coming because memory and storage chip are costing so much more. Among the increases, the iPad air's price is going up $150. The base MacBook Pro price went up $300. Mark Tepper of Strategic Wealth Partners says Apple uses the same suppliers as companies building up artificial intelligence.

There's obviously still high demand for memory and memory prices continue to go through the roof. And where does Apple get their memory from? Samsung, SK, Hynix and Micron.
Jenny Coselda
For now, iPhone prices are unchanged. Jenny Coselda, FOX News.

At soccer's World Cup, Team USA plays Turkey tonight.
Sports Announcer
The Americans have won the first two matches in this World cup and have already won Group D, securing a spot in the knockout stages. Meanwhile, Turkey has already been eliminated from the tournament. It's rare territory for the United States as head coach Mauricio Pochettino will have to decide whether to play the same starting 11 to or switch it up. What could influence his decision is the yellow cards. His players have Tyler Adams, Flo Baligan, Chris Richards and Anthony Robinson all have one, and one more would suspend them from the team's round of 32 matchup. Kickoff is at 10pm Eastern on Fox.
