This is unnecessary, avoidable and just so uncalled for. Though he did say the Senate would try again later this week, Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer accused Republicans of bullying Democrats for refusing to negotiate.

Superintendent arrested for being in the country illegally is vowing to fight deportation efforts.

Alfredo Parish, an attorney representing Des Moines School Superintendent Ian Roberts, a Guyana national, says his client is resigning that position, calling the case complicated and that he'll be filing a motion to pause Roberts deportation.

Ice as Roberts entered the US in 1999 on a visa that he had a prior gun charge in 2020. A judge ordered him deported. Last year, we're told Roberts fled a traffic stop on Friday, an illegal gun and cash found in his car. And with questions looming as to how he was allowed to lead Iowa's largest school district. Job creation was stronger than expected on the last business day of August. The Job Openings and Labor turnover survey, 7.2 million openings the previous month, was revised higher also to 7.2 million. There were fewer job openings in construction and federal government. Total separations from jobs decreased in accommodation and food services, arts, entertainment and recreation, but increased in state and local government, excluding education. Doordash is adding restaurant reservations and robot deliveries in some US Markets. The San Francisco based company saying it wants to bring even more business to the merchants it works with. It, said it will soon begin offering restaurant reservations in its app in New York and Miami. Other cities will follow later this year. And the company also plans to begin offering deliveries in the Phoenix area with its own autonomous robot. Wall street stocks coasted to another winning month, a Dow of 81. The NASDAQ gained 68.
