He's demonstrating his clout again. This is a FOX News alert. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton won the Republican nomination for Senate, defeating four term Senator John Cornyn tonight. Paxton was endorsed by President Trump last week. He'll now face Democrat James Talarico in November. His victory in the runoff makes Cornyn the first Republican senator from Texas to lose the party's nomination for reelection. As for House Democrats, Congressman Christian Menifee wins the Democrat primary over firebrand Congressman Al Green. At least one person is dead and nine others remain unaccounted for after a large chemical tank imploded at a Washington state paper mill. Nine others were injured in the spill, some severely. Emergency responders were still working on recovery efforts at Nippon Dyna Wave Packaging in Longview. Firefighters note the tank remains unstable, complicating efforts to reach victims. Vice President J.D. vance gathering with state attorneys general at a White House roundtable today to discuss antifraud enforcement. Fox's Kevin Cork has more from Washington.
